iNTERESTED TO BECOME A SPONSOR?
I understand that as a godparent / sponsor I must actively practice my Catholic faith by:
- regularly attending Mass and receiving the Eucharist.
- making use of the Sacrament of Reconciliation.
- seeking to the best of my understanding of my Catholic faith to be faithful to the teachings of the Church.
I am not in an irregular marriage.
I have received the Sacrament of Confirmation and I am at least 18 years old.
I understand that being a godparent/sponsor is a commitment of time. I will attend Sunday 8:00 Mass and the sessions afterwards as often as I can. I will attend the third Saturday team meetings when I can. I will attend as many parish events where the team is introducing the candidates/catechumens to the parish.
I understand that being a godparent/sponsor is a commitment to be a faithful witness of the Catholic way of life to the individual that I am invited to walk with.
