Lou Ann is a cradle Catholic originally from South Louisiana, but she has spent most of her life in Texas. In 30 years of public education, she lived her passion as classroom teacher, curriculum writer, instructional specialist, and first-year-teacher mentor. She hoped to help her students and teachers discover and use the talents God gave them. In 2012, she answered a strong spiritual call to retire early to serve the Church. In 2014, she earned a Master of Theological Studies degree from the University of Dallas. Today, as Director of Faith Formation, she enjoys working with children, catechists and parents. She especially loves listening to children share their feelings about Jesus and their faith. That makes her smile. It also inspires her to work for Pope Francis’ call for New Evangelization. She hopes that all Catholics can feel and live that childlike joy that comes from loving Jesus Christ.
